With its timber cladding and its pines, the Sequoia Lodge is the quietest of the lakeside hotels. Its practical quirk is the way it is laid out: a main building plus six lodges scattered through the trees. Guests staying in one of the outlying lodges habitually underestimate the five to seven minutes' walk to the main entrance — so we build that into the meeting time rather than leaving it to chance.

Pick-up is always outside the main entrance, at the end of the wooded drive. If you are travelling with small children and a good deal of luggage, say so: the driver comes into the lobby to help rather than waiting at the kerb.

A typical booking here

A great many families spend two nights in a Disney hotel before flying home from Roissy. A Sequoia Lodge to CDG transfer takes forty to fifty minutes outside the peaks, and is best booked the day before if only to guarantee a child seat of the right size.

The comparison people most often make here is with the shared airport shuttle. It charges per person and calls at several hotels before yours; from three travellers upwards the taxi comes to much the same money, leaves when you want to leave, and puts you down at the entrance rather than at the end of a circuit.

Where your driver waits

Pick-up is always outside the main entrance of the central building, never outside a lodge. From the furthest lodges allow five to seven minutes on foot — we take that into account when fixing the time, and the driver comes to meet you if you are travelling with young children or a lot of luggage.
